When completed in 1928, the <\/span>Buncombe County Courthouse<\/span><\/a> became North Carolina\u2019s tallest local government building at 17 stories high. Over time, the landmark structure deteriorated and eventually required extensive restoration.<\/span><\/p>\n To get it done, remediation crews would have to work 195 feet above ground to mend the historic building\u2019s exterior brickwork.
