They work a wide range of projects, from hotels to warehouses. They\u2019re also known for the renovation and preservation of historic buildings and more. Clancy &amp; Theys is a Top 100 CM at-Risk provider and Top 100 Green contractor.<\/p>\n<p>This project involved a unique application of OCTO <a href=\"https:\/\/scaffoldingsolutions.com\/services\/scaffolding\/\">Scaffolding<\/a> and a Scando 650 Personnel Material Hoist. Managing government agency involvement and tricky architectural designs, Scaffolding Solutions was able to help Clancy &amp; Theys work through their project quickly and effectively.<\/p>\n<h3>The Challenges<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The building was built to the street easement and the Fire Department required the street to remain open.<\/li>\n<li>The building itself reduced its footprint by 20 feet after the first eight floors.<\/li>\n<li>The Scando 650 which is usually set perpendicular to a structure had to be set parallel to allow street access.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>The Solutions<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>We designed a system that left street access open and allowed contractors access to the building with the Scando 650.<\/li>\n<li>The OCTO Platform provided roof access up to 185 feet high and access platforms starting at the 8th floor added support for 7200 lbs.<\/li>\n<li>Load stress from the scaffold and the Scando 650 was pointed to certain locations to handle the stress.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-216\" src=\"https:\/\/scaffoldingsolutions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/clancey-theys4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"809\" height=\"607\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scaffoldingsolutions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/clancey-theys4.jpg 809w, https:\/\/www.scaffoldingsolutions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/clancey-theys4-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.scaffoldingsolutions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/clancey-theys4-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 809px) 100vw, 809px\" \/><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How Unique Scaffolding Helped Navigate Gov\u2019t Restrictions &amp; Layout Obstacles Clancy &amp; Theys Construction Company was founded in Raleigh, North Carolina in 1949.
